We are Tobi and Daniel, two friends who realized that staying connected and connecting to other people becomes more and more complicated with evermore responsibilities, work load and expectations.

About half a year ago we met for a weekend and while enjoying time together we discussed social and dating life and realized how frustrating and exhausting a lot of the coordination and planning around meeting friends, family and new people is.

Dating life... super annoying with the current "swiping apps". Nothing feels real. Nobody commits. Meeting new people gets more difficult and if you find people via apps or forums it is often solely activity based, not taking personality into account. And even maintaining your established friends and acquaintances becomes difficult with work, distance and other responsibilities. Was there something we missed? We didn't find a good answer to that question.

So what could we do different? Over time we dicussed a lot of ideas, Groupon meets dating and meetups, a social network about personality matches... in the end we realized that doing more with all the people we have in our lives already is what we wanted to do first. Coordinating meetups was the biggest issue we identified which gets exponentially more difficult with each person and organizational layer you add to a plan. So we build Groopzy to minimize the friction.

A lot of testing with friends and alpha testers later we think we are ready for our beta

test. We hope to find some folks who will help us through our journey. We start by solving the coordination issue and will see where the journey takes us. We have a lot of ideas and a lot of technology and functionality we developed and engineered that we will be able to leverage.
